Georgia grew up in New Zealand and completed her Occupational Therapy degree in 2021 at Auckland University of Technology, NZ. Georgia values using a holistic approach and understanding the individual as a whole not just their diagnosis. She walks alongside her clients to support them in finding meaning in everyday life and creating a new sense of hope and purpose. Georgia is a big believer in recovery through doing, ensuring her clients find meaningful occupations despite barriers to fulfil their day.
Georgia’s interest in mental health sparked after learning more around the demand and lack of support out there. She previously worked in Youth Mental Health back in New Zealand providing goal-oriented brief intervention for those with primary mental health challenges. She also started an Adventure Therapy Program for young people suffering from depression and anxiety. Georgia has since moved to the Sunshine Coast to experience working in a different country and continue to help individuals fulfil their life.
